LARE Exam Information

Starting with the September 2012 LARE exams, all sections of the exam will be computer based and will change from five sections to four sections. Nebraska applicants will apply and obtain approval for all exam sections directly through the Council of Landscape Architectural Registrations Boards (CLARB). Initial Licensure

Once you have completed all sections of the LARE, met the education and experience requirements (CLARB's Standard of Eligibility for Council Certification) and are ready to apply for your initial license in Nebraska, you will need to

  • Request CLARB to transmit your Council Record to the Nebraska State Board of Landscape Architects
  • Submit a request for licensure along with the application fee
  • Submit a General Information and Affidavit Sheet
  • Your request will then be submitted to the Board for their review and approval
  • Upon approval, a licensing fee will be required before your license is issued. The licensing fee does not include your first renewal fee.
